We are seeking an Engineering Manager passionate about building developer tools and interested in the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) space and Pulumi’s approach to IaC.

This individual should have a strong understanding of infrastructure, security engineering, billing, and user identity and authorization.

Team Leadership and Development:

• engineers to set realistic deadlines, and keep the Service team on track to meet its deliverables.

• Ensure that our products and services delight our customers and drive their success.

Technical Leadership:

• Guide design and architecture discussions, ensuring technical excellence.
• Collaborate with principal engineers and contribute to code when necessary.
• Ensure steady operations and drive a DevOps culture within the team.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong technical background with the ability to guide design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience in coding and technical problem-solving.
• Comfort with building and iterating on both Open Source and Enterprise products.
• Comfort with all/some of the following: Amazon Web Services, MySQL, elasticsearch, AI/ML, building robust and resilient systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment is a plus.

Compensation:

• Base Salary Hiring Range: $180,500 – $227,850
• All full-time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
